What is an escape room?
Real-life room escape games are a type of physical adventure game in which people are “locked” in a room with a group. They must use elements of the room to find clues, solve a series of puzzles, and escape the room within the set time limit. You will have 60 minutes, so you will need to work quickly. You do not need to possess any special skills to solve the puzzles however you may need to think outside the box. Work together as a team to find hidden objects, figure out the clues and solve the puzzles.
Are we actually locked in the room?
Absolutely not! You will always be able to exit the room at any time in case of emergency!
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, all games require a prior reservation. If room space is available, you may be able to book the day of your event by calling us or stopping in to make a reservation. Our team will do everything possible to work with you and your group requirements.
How late can I cancel and still get a refund?
The reservation can be rescheduled with a 24-hours notice or canceled with a 3-days notice. The reservation can only be rescheduled once and cannot be canceled after it was rescheduled. Same day reservations cannot be canceled or rescheduled.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations within 3 days of your reservation. No partial refunds for players that didn’t show up unless notified within 3 days.
When should we plan to arrive?
Please show up 15 minutes BEFORE your game to sign a waiver, become acquainted with your team, and hear instructions. We deduct any amount of time you are late for your game off of your time for escaping the room. Rugged Xscape wants to be conscious of and respect other teams' reservations. Trust us when we say every minute counts. You may just need all 60 minutes! Please plan to arrive early to ensure your team's success!
Can we still escape even if we have a small group?
Yes, you can! You are here to work as a team and solve the puzzles together. Make sure to bring some friends or family if you'd like some help.
Will I be playing with other people?
No, all of our games are private games at this time.
Do you host special events or groups?
Yes! To participate in an escape room, it requires a group effort! That's why escape rooms make a great team-building exercise! They help encourage problem-solving and creative thinking all while promoting teamwork! Whether you are interested in attending with a group of friends, co-workers, or planning a special event, this is a fun and interactive game for everyone involved.
Are cell phones allowed?
The use of electronic devices or any other technology is strictly prohibited. If found using them, you will be escorted from the room. Most of the puzzles wouldn’t be solved by anything you could find online using your phone. Photography is not allowed inside the room to prevent future groups from knowing the contents of the game. There will be a secure box for you to lock up your small valuables. Cameras and cell phones will be allowed and encouraged in the photo-op area, after the game.
Is there an age restriction?
Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult into the game.

Friends, Relatives, Colleagues, Classmates, Fraternities, Sororities...anyone looking for a fun night out! Work together or have fun disagreeing on how to solve your way out of the room. Either way, it is a unique-to-you experience you are sure to be laughing and talking about for days!
